Sample: Whole Blood (Venous Blood / or less painful easy to use Finger Prick Test)
About the Test:
This test determines the levels of thyroid-stimulating hormones(TSH), Free Triiodothyronine (T3) , Free Thyroxine(T4), Thyroid peroxidase antibody and Thyroglobulin Antibodies Thyroxine (T4) .
The abnormal values of TSH, Free Triiodothyronine (FT3), Free Thyroxine(FT4), Thyroid peroxidase antibody, and Thyroglobulin Antibodies Thyroxine (T4) can adversely affect most of the organs in the body and can also cause infertility. If the thyroid is overactive it produces more T3 and T4, a condition called hyperthyroidism. If the thyroid is under activate it produces less T3 and T4, this condition is called hypothyroidism. This test also helps to identify hypothyroidism/hyperthyroidism. The testing of TSH, Free T3, and T4 levels helps to identify any underlying medical conditions.
